
Ameren "Matt at Home" Campaign
Protecting the energy grid from overloading is a priority for Ameren Illinois. However, saving money is a priority for most Ameren Illinois customers. With this campaign, we sought to not only reduce load and increase grid capacity, but also increase PTR customers' savings while improving overall perceptions of Ameren Illinois’ commitment to customer education around energy efficiency management.
While previous iterations of the Peak Time Rewards campaign focused more on saving energy in order to take stress off the energy grid, this iteration of the campaign set out to communicate to customers that every little bit of energy saved could not only help keep the energy grid more stable for them and their community, but also help save them more money in the process.
By encouraging them to adopt small, simple shifts in their behavior around the home, we showed customers how these shifts could really add up to meaningful savings — especially when done over a longer period of time and not just during the summer months when the greatest energy grid demand tended to occur.
